Every year the Stoughton Police Department hosts a “Nightmare on Rose Street” Haunted House for children and residents.

During this event the entire Stoughton Police station is transformed for Halloween. This includes the booking area, jail cells, breakroom and vehicle bay — was decked out with various Halloween decorations such as witches, Frankensteins, skeletons, fake body parts and blood, cobwebs, spiders, coffins and clowns.

Families, children and visitors are taken on a spooky tour through the station, escorted by Stoughton Police Officers. Stoughton Police also offers a chance for small children or those with sensory sensitivities a chance to participate with a scaled down, lights-on version of the haunted tour.

Every child who attends receives a bag of treats.

Numerous businesses along Rose street, including Town Hall, participate in decorating for this evet.
