Stoughton Police Officer Entrance Exam on April 26

Are you interested in becoming a Stoughton Police Officer? The Stoughton Police Department, through Hanrahan Consulting LLC, is holding an entrance examination at 9 a.m. on April 26. Candidates must register no later than 4 p.m. on April 20.

Base pay is $77K-$104K, plus education incentives of 10%, 20% and 25%

Candidates must pass the entrance examination on April 26 at the Stoughton Senior Center and Youth Commission, at 110 Rockland St.

Minimum qualifications for the position include:

  • Be a person of high moral character
  • Be at least 21 years of age at the time of appointment
  • Be a United States citizen
  • Possess a high school diploma or equalivalent
  • Possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license
  • Be eligible for a Class A License to Carry
  • Have no felony or Chapter 94C (narcotics) convictions. Misdemeanor convictions considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Pass a medical and psychological examination
  • Pass a physical fitness test

Certified police officers do not need to take this test. Certified officers should send their resume and a cover letter to spdrecruitment@stoughton-ma.gov. Bridge Academy certifications are considered on a case-by-case basis.
