Chief Donna McNamara reports that the Stoughton Police Department responded Thursday to Central Street after a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle.
Police were called at 6:14 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, to Central Street, between Turnpike and Lincoln streets, after a report of a car striking a pedestrian.
Police closed Central Street between Turnpike and Lincoln streets, and the closure remains in place.
The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to a Boston hospital.
