STOUGHTON — The Stoughton Police and Fire Departments responded Friday evening after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
Stoughton Police and Fire units were dispatched to 1261 Park St. at 8:50 p.m. for a report of a man struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, rescuers found a 49-year-old man suffering from multiple serious injuries after being struck by a 2016 Toyota Corolla sedan.
The victim was treated at the scene and transported to a Boston trauma center. His name is not being released at this time. A preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was walking along Park Street near South Street when he was struck.
The driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with authorities. The incident is under investigation by the Stoughton Police Department the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (C.A.R.S.).
